Children’s Day Nursery In Peterborough Welcomes New Staff Member as Nursery Grows
Jungle Tots Day Nursery aims to be one of the best children’s day nurseries in Peterborough. A big part of that is having high-quality staff and we are always on the look out! We are lucky to be able to add to our wonderful team, Jurgita. She will manage our new holiday club, Jungle Kids. During the Easter and Summer school holidays, she will work in Jungle Kids Holiday Club. However, she will spend the majority of her time in the day nursery
We already have a number of languages spoken by staff in the nursery. However, Peterborough is a diverse city and it vital we are able to help everyone. Jurgita speaks Lithuanian and English fluently but also speaks Russian to an intermediate level and Polish to a beginner level. Jurgita is highly qualified with a degree in education as well as her level 3 diploma in childcare.
We asked Jurgita to write a few words about who she is and here was her response:
My name is Jurgita, I grew up in Lithuania in a beautiful town, surrounded by rivers and lots of valleys, that’s why I love spending time in nature, travelling, hiking, fishing and spending time in the garden. I finished pedagogical university in Lithuania and decided to move to the UK, I finished a childcare level 3 diploma and started to work in childcare. I did lots of courses, training and really enjoying working with the children for the last 11 year. I believe that every child is unique and every child is able to achieve the biggest achievements in their own way by playing and having fun. I enjoy teaching children through play and seeing how they change and develop as they become more confident.
Both at Safari Play and Jungle Tots Day Nursery, we strongly believe in the power of play. Children develop extremely fast by playing as there is so much compound learning (learning lots of skills together). The Children in our nursery are so lucky to get access to the play equipment at Safari Play, both before they open (so they get the whole centre to themselves) and we use it towards the end of the day when it is quiet.
Safari Play recently extended the garden so we also get set exclusive use times of that as well.
